Our Mission Statement We are dedicated to serving individuals and their families whose lives can be enhanced through physical or cognitive rehabilitation.
We continually strive for excellence by providing care and services which are valued by those we serve and by contributing
to the community through education, research and prevention of disability. More frequently than ever before, Bryn Mawr Rehab
Hospital is being chosen by patients and their families as their destination for recovery.
A Brief History Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital was built on this site in 1902 as the country division of Rush Hospital. Our primary work at that
time was to care for patients with tuberculosis, and we continued to treat this and other respiratory illnesses until 1960,
when our emphasis shifted to geriatric medicine. In 1970, we merged with Bryn Mawr Hospital and became a center of rehabilitative
medicine, pioneering programs for people who experience the effects of brain injury, orthopedic problems, and accidents, neurological
disorders and spinal cord injury.
Today, Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital is the largest and most comprehensive rehabilitation services organization in the Mid-Atlantic
region. We provide a broad range of programs at every level of care including inpatient, outpatient and day treatment.
Programs are offered for individuals with conditions such as brain injury, stroke, orthopedic injuries, spinal cord disorders,
multiple sclerosis, amputations, arthritis, Parkinson's disease and chronic pain. We also offer specialized services such
as aquatic therapy, an Adapted Driving Program, work hardening, Assistive Technology Center and a Vestibular (Balance) Rehabilitation
Program.
To speak with one of our representatives about any of our services, or to find a physician, call 1-866-CALL-MLH.
