Mission and Vision
Our Mission
  1. Quality Service Assurance - To ensure that patients of The Home Care Network who need health and personal care services at home in order to maintain their independence are not denied these essential services, and that these services are of the highest measurable quality.
  2. Community and Professional Education - To raise public awareness of and interest in home care; to train students, volunteers, and health professionals in the rapidly evolving field of home care; to develop and foster mechanisms for assuring competence and the proper preparation of home care staff and volunteers; and to educate practicing health professionals about the appropriateness and capabilities of home care for their patients.
  3. Research and Development - To develop, study and promote innovative and efficient alternatives that encourage the provision of services in the comfort and dignity of the home, through the conduct of research and demonstration projects related to home care.

Our Vision
Through priority-based grant making and program sponsorship, The Hospice and Home Care Foundation will assume a leadership role in the Delaware Valley to bring together philanthropic interests with home care providers to:

  • Assist hospitals, physicians, and other health professionals in managing their patients’ health care at home;
  • Inform the public about viable alternatives to institutionalization;
  • Conduct social and clinical research aimed at advancing the knowledge about healthcare at home;
  • Educate tomorrow’s health practitioners about the need for, and delivery of, health care services in the home setting.
