What’s the difference?
An employment registry, for a fee, will refer and place personnel in your home. However, you assume full responsibility as the employer. Insured and bonded organizations employ the personnel they place in your home.

What do I have to do as the employer?
If you obtain services through an employment registry,  you become legally responsible for certain payroll taxes such as Social Security and unemployment. You may also be responsible for fees to cover Workers’ Compensation or other insurances. If you hire help on your own, you face the potential liability for the costs and damages of a lawsuit when you fail to maintain this coverage. 
When Extended Home Care provides service, you do not have any responsibilty as an employer.

What are the benefits to hiring a bonded and insured organization?
Extended Home Care will provide supervision, via a registered nurse, of all personnel it sends into your home. The nurse will carefully evaluate your home situation and develop a plan of service with you that matches your needs. 

What are bonded personnel?
Bonded personnel have protection or insurance against claims. If you have a problem with a bonded employee, theft for example, and take court action, the bond will reimburse you for your loss.
