Billing & Reimbursement
Medicare
Medicare does not cover most home infusion therapies, including intravenous antibiotic therapy. Recognizing that some people prefer to receive their infusion therapy at home, we offer self-payment plans.

Medicare does reimburse for certain chemotherapies, intravenous nutritional feedings, and cardiac-related therapies when strict coverage criteria are met.

Managed Care and Private Insurance Plans
Most Managed Care and private insurance plans reimburse for home infusion therapies. The following are generally covered:

  • Intravenous drug solutions
  • Related supplies
  • Nurses to teach self-administration and to monitor the client*

*Most plans expect the client and/or their caregiver to learn how to self-administer the intravenous infusion therapy. If the therapy can only be safely administered by a professional, the cost of the nurse might be covered.

Self-Pay
For those individuals who prefer to receive their infusion therapy at home but have no insurance coverage, we offer self-pay plans. Plans are based on the individual’s prescribed therapy.
